As I've been reading (many) young adult novels lately, I've noticed a couple common trends in many of the books.
- First of all, most YA (young adult) novels are broken up into several sections, such as "Part One," "Part Two," and "Part Three."
- Secondly, many of the novels, particularly fantasy novels, are utilizing quotes or passages from classic literature as prologues to the book or sections of the book. I find this particularly interesting because it at least gives teens an awareness of classic books and authors.
That is all my observations for now - more deep thoughts to come later!
